Field behind U. City High

We've gotten together with some pickup-ers from down at Hill Field and have been playing at the field behind U. City High (38th and Filbert). It's a lot bigger, and what can I say ... the grass REALLY IS greener!

We're also now playing Tuesdays at 5:30 and Wednesdays at 6:30.

Our numbers have swollen ... so much so that last Tuesday we played two games simultaneously ... life's good! The vibe has gotten a bit more competitive ... but we're still tryin to have a good time out there!

We play throughout the year every Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm-ish (for your first time, 5:30 might be better) at Penn Park. We don't have a reservation, so check the Penn Park fields in this order (here's a map: http://goo.gl/maps/zUClG):

1. turf fields

2. grass fields under the South St Bridge (no cleats allowed)

3. Highline field at 31st & Chestnut

We play other ad hoc days too, which are announced on the list. Being on the list ensures that you have information about any day of game changes such as cancellations due to weather. Attendance sometimes also becomes an issue, particularly in the dead of winter.

phillyultimate is about playing free,fun, and casual -- but regularly occuring -- games of ultimate frisbee in Philadelphia, but especially in West Philly.

We aim to include players of diverse backgrounds (and we do a reasonably good job at that) .. we ALWAYS want more women to come out

Some of our players are systems engineers, programmers, social workers, americorp volunteers, artists, students, etc.
