starting between 5:30-6p on Tuesdays and Thursdays .. usually 1p on Saturdays/Sundays at Penn Park.  Look to the right hand sidebar for info on location and joining our email list for further information.  You'll definitely want to be on the list, as details are hashed out day by day ... we change fields and start times ... and us know you're coming with polls distributed via the list, so we know we have enough to start playing at whatever time!

You should join our email list, either by following instructions on the right-hand sidebar of our website (phillyultimate.blogspot.com) or by sending an email to  upennpickup-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.  We cannot manually add you, as an anti-spam precaution.

We play throughout the year every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00pm-ish (for your first time, 6:30 might be  better) at Penn Park.  We don't have a reservation, so check the Penn Park fields in this order (here's a map:  http://goo.gl/maps/zUClG):

1. turf fields

2. grass fields under the South St Bridge (no cleats allowed)

3. Highline field at 31st & Chestnut

We play other ad hoc days too, which are announced on the list.  Being on the list ensures that you have information about any day of game changes such as cancellations due to weather.  Attendance sometimes also becomes an issue, particularly in the dead of winter.

Games have been going on throughout the year, but since we get emails about it, I thought I'd let you know ... yes, pickup is still going on :-)  We play every Tuesday and Thursday and sometimes weekend days too ... BUT JOIN OUR EMAIL LIST FOR DETAILS.  It's  tougher to get fields these (warmer) days with a little bit more competition ... Fred has established this hiearchy of fields ... so here's where to look for us:

1) Grass field by South St. bridge
2) Highline (SW corner of 31st & Chestnut)
3) Hill field (SE corner of 34th & Chestnut)
4) UC High School (NE corner of 38th & Filbert)

Remember, cleats are not allowed on the grass field (turf shoes are okay).

Thursday pickup back to Penn Park

Our experiment with a new field on Thursdays failed because of football practice.  We will play tonight at 5:45pm at Penn Park (http://bit.ly/IAPTL2). Remember, not cleats.

New location on Thursdays

Starting this week, we will be playing at 37th & Filbert (http://bit.ly/QzGzGr) on Thursdays at 6:00pm.  Tuesday games will still be at Penn Park (http://bit.ly/IAPTL2).
